So have you ever picked up a hitchhiker?

One time on the way home from work I stopped by the liquor store to get a beer, I buy my stuff and when I came outside there was some guy standing out there by my car. He says "Hey homie, how'd you like to make sum gas money?" I said "I would, but I have to be somewhere right now." (even though I didnt). He then tells me that he just got out of jail (which was down the street, so that makes sense) and he needed to get to the next town over. Long story short, I'm glad I didn't say yes.. He could have killed me or something and took my car, he gave off some bad vibes.

One time when I was a teenager, me and my friends picked up a hitchhiker. He was a harmless looking old man who just wanted a ride to the homeless shelter. Anyways he was completely out of his mind. On the way over to the shelter he offered us all high paying jobs in his corporation at one point. After that he was so happy to see his son, who was my friend in the back sitting next to him. After he just started making random sounds until we finally got there.

Wow that's crazy as I would never pick up a hitchhiker as you don't know what sort of crazy people you might pick up.

I don't see any of that around here as the only thing I see is people begging for money at the street corner leading off the highways and around Wal Marts as well.

In sweden I've picked up people with my moped at times, but that was just like 12 year olds needing a ride that took like 10 minutes. young people sure, old people ehh no.

I don't give hitchhikers rides either. You never know what kind of person they are.

About the people begging for monay, I aaw on TV before that some of them are begging not because they are not able to work. They do it because it is easier begging than having a real job. I know those people are in the minority but still.

umm... if you give money to homeless people you're stupid. The smart thing would be to buy them something to eat or drink. Then you know they won't abuse it.

True. You never know. Some of the homeless may buy a liquid, 180 proof lunch instead of a real one.

And some of those homeless might actually have a very nice home and car which they hide so they can bum money off of people foolish enough to hand it to them.

The worst thing is when they go up to you while you ordering food at McDonalds as I noticed some like to hang around there looking for money or cigarettes.
