LOVE IS THE DRIVING FORCE OF ALL

Some about books again my friend.

At last, have you got your hands on The NorthWorld Trilogy??? I got to research if the possible sequel is out...

Aha, Thor there is a really interesting guy, though Odin is odd at best...if you have read it you will understand it.

And, have you read Paul Anderson's old books? He has a nice scandinavian trader character on some of his old books. They were really good science fiction as well.

Oh, and about women, do you like brunnettes then??? Ahah, I recall seeing a lot of blondes in Helsinki, but Stockholm was kinda like São Paulo...very mixed.

I do prefer brunnetes and red haired (can't quite recall the word in english for red haired girls) :voidhawk: But that is so obvious, it is not so??? (favorite characters - Tsuruko, Sawako, Sadako, Motoko, Corticarte, Mizuho, Hatsuho...) though I can go for a white haired one at times (Urd for instance :PP )

Ah, and have you seen District 9??? I am still impressed by it after seeing it twice. Not a cute movie like Avatar, but oh so much better storywise and message wise.

Not a single Oscar but it was nominated for best movie anyways....but showing some kind of things are not popular, even if they are to be seen and thought of...

Actually the Oscar this year was pretty easy decided before...

Best movie was an easy bet...really not surprising at all...

ah, hmm, well, i was on a mission with UN in Burundi in 06 when i was attacked by the FLN "insurgents" that was operating in the area, I had great luck that they didn't posses firearms, They just beat me god-damned senseless and broke a dozen or so bones in my body and left me lying, i was lucky that there was a squad a couple of hundred meters away that had heard the ruckus.

Which is your kind of movie my friend?

I thought you liked Science Fiction...do not lose the opportunity then, as District 9 is possibly the best science fiction movie made in the last 10 years, regarding plot, execution, cohesion, theme portrayed and surelly a hot knife in some concepts and historical facts...

Ah, I will get some information about Paul Anderson the author...he is from the classics, a true science fiction master, and from scandinavian origin as well.

Ah, please do tell me when you watch D9, and we can talk more later.

(This is technically a request, so we are on topic with the line above :voidhawk: )

And here is the link to Poul Anderson's page on Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poul_Anderson

Sorry to use it, but seems faster. I have not read all his books (damn many ) but those I read are really, really good. Van Rijn is a really interesting character for he is not a true hero but a very smart businessmen living in a really harsh environment. I advise the Terran Empire series as well.

A stand alone one is The Boat of a Million Years, where immortality is intelligently depicted, and a really good book (starts in ancient Persia and goes straight to our interstellar age, depicting the drama of natural born immortals living among us mortals) Awesome book, and he also wrote another one depicting immortals that is good, but I tell you the title later.

Till soon.

PS - and yes, I wrote the author's name wrongly before. the name is Poul and not Paul. Gommen neh :sweatdrop:

I add to Herr DP's question:

What do you think (if you do think about it) about my country latest positions internationally?

I mean, I am deeply ashamed by the instance my government is taking as of late. Of course we NEED to obbey/aby to international regulations and the independence principle, but then again the positions my country are taking referring to Iran and Cuba are just shameful.

Whereas I agree we need to respect independence, we can also disagree and just keep away from shameful things, and Brazil is not trying to reach the people of those countries (that I agree would be good) but their governemnts which are actully hurting their own people.

To Mr DP: Thank you for your welcome ! but Hmm, I think i'm shaking my head less now, US seems to go in the right direction, but well, There will always be stupid people everywhere and i cant fault a single country for having more than another (the latest political developments in sweden have more or less convinced me that all of them live here)

to VH-sensei, well, We haven't really felt any Brazilian "winds" in this part of Scandinavia, although the little debacle with the Cuban starving is just unnecessary and wasn't really called for, if you get my meaning, some people cause more of a political shit-storm than others, that is how the world works i suppose, but i do agree with you, Its not so smart starting "small-talk" with "morally ambiguous" countries

Damn that sounds so political correct.

Good friend, will you venture in our direction someday? Try the said "brazilian winds"?

Now, indeed some kind of political hand forcing is really uncalled for, and trying to force a whole government body to move through emotional tricks is not something to comend, but again the moves towards some countries are wasteful, seeming more a juvenile provocation, trying to show we are an "adult" country playing with the big shots.

We should take care of more pressing matters here first, and then try to act "high and mighty".

Our government seems to forget that immense fiasco with that crazy dude from Venezuela...where we had part of Petrobras seized and nothing was really done and we had to abide to the crazy petty tyrant.

Ah well...

I have Hopes of doing so, yes !, right now its just a matter of money,Unfortunately i don't think i can afford to travel anywhere the coming 2 years.

And Yes, I think you are right, It looks a bit like "I am bigger than you, bow down before me !" The way to a strong society goes trough building up the country and making people happy to live there. But yeah, History always repeats itself to those who are ignorant about it

ah, sorry, i seem to have neglected my answering duties once again

FF, it's Nice, i do Like sabaton alot

too Hotspot,

I have absolutely no quarrel with The Homosexuals at all, i was raised in a very libertarian manner so i really don't care who people have sexual intercourse with, the only thing i get irritated on is flamboyant over-the-top displays of "sexual-partner preference" but i include Hetro and bi sexuals in that too.

ah, my favorite Actors must be Christopher Lee, Sir Ian McKellen, James Earl Jones and Morgan Freeman
